• Elected Sheriff November 9, 2006, and took office January 8, 2007.

• Has over 32 years full-time experience of law enforcement.
  
  
• Has commanded every major division with-in the Sheriff's Office.

• Began his law enforcement career at the Oxnard Police Department in 1975.

• Joined the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office as a deputy sheriff in 1982.

• Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology Law Enforcement from California State University, Fresno, and a single subject teaching credential.

• Is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (185th Session) in Quantico, VA.

• Is a recipient of the Linden Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellowship Award 2005.

• Is a recipient of the California Peace Officers Association's "Award of Distinction" 2005.

• Was appointed to the California Council for Interstate Adult Supervision by Governor Schwarzenegger on June 26, 2007.
  
  
• Was appointed to the California Department of Boating and Waterways Commission by Governor Schwarzenegger on December 17, 2009.
  
  
• Is a graduate of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar February 2010.
  

• Has been married for 29 years to wife, Robyn Giannecchini Moore and has two children who are both currently attending college.

• Resides in Linden, CA.
